At Climate Data Platform, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Facebook policies.
You can request the deletion of all your personal data from our platform in the following ways: 1. From your account: Go to Settings > Account and click "Delete my account". This will permanently delete your account and all associated data. 2. By email: Send an email to the contact address indicated on the platform with the subject "Data deletion request" including your name and registered email. 3. If you signed in with Facebook: You can revoke our app's access from Facebook settings (Settings > Apps and Websites) and then contact us to confirm the deletion.
Once your request is received, we will delete your data within a maximum of 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation when the process is complete. During this period, your account will be deactivated and you will not be able to access the platform.
When you request deletion, the following will be permanently erased: • Your user profile (name, email, profile picture). • Your preferences and settings (work zone, alerts, language). • Your usage history and queries. • Your saved reports and studies. • Your payment data (transaction references; full payment data is managed by Stripe). • Any association with social authentication providers (Google, Facebook).
In accordance with applicable law, we may retain certain data for a limited period: • Financial transaction records: up to 5 years for tax obligations. • Security audit logs: up to 1 year. • Anonymized and aggregated data that cannot identify the user. This retained data does not contain personally identifiable information and is used exclusively to comply with legal obligations.
